ELKINS — U.S. Congressman Alex Mooney, R-W.Va., recently visited with employees of ibex and took a tour of the center in Elkins.
“I voted for the tax cut bill last year, and my goal for that was to create more jobs and more income for working folks in West Virginia, so I wanted to come and see if that’s helping. It’s nice to see that they’re expanding here and folks should be noticing a little more in their take-home pay,” Mooney said.
During Mooney’s tour, he spoke with employees who told the representative why they chose ibex as their employer, some noting they were able to leave part-time jobs for full-time employment.
“We’re always looking for opportunities where there could be more jobs for West Virginians. It was nice to talk to some of the folks here who are able to work here full-time,” Mooney said.
Customer service representatives who are employed with ibex take calls and work to resolve issues for each of their client’s customers.
Steven Tye, site director for the Elkins location, said ibex is expected to increase its number of employees in the upcoming future.
